By now, you’ve heard about the possible side effects of taking anabolic steroids, including acne, infertility, and breast cancer.
But what if you were looking for something to help your weight loss?
Well, that’s what you’ll find in a new report by researchers at the University of Washington and the University at Buffalo.
The study, published in the journal Diabetes Care, suggests a new class of supplements that could help people lose weight and even maintain weight.
It’s called bioactive compounds, and they’re not a new concept.
People have been ingesting these compounds since the 1800s, but there’s a growing body of evidence to suggest they might help in certain cases.
“Bioactive compounds may have an effect on a number of different biological processes, including appetite control, appetite regulation, appetite suppression, weight control, energy metabolism, blood sugar control, and insulin sensitivity,” said Michael Kober, the lead author of the study.
“For instance, there is evidence that bioactive compound could help to reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes in people with obesity.”
He said some bioactive supplements might help people keep up with their weight, but other supplements could help maintain their weight or decrease it.
“There’s a lot of information out there that there’s some things that are not really associated with weight loss, so you could get some weight loss if you took a supplement that’s associated with lowering your weight or maintaining your weight,” Kober said.
For example, there’s research that suggests that an amino acid called arginine may reduce the absorption of insulin.
But a study published in 2012 found that a high arginin intake had no effect on weight loss or maintenance.
Another bioactive supplement that might be helpful to keep you slim is a compound called arachidonoylglycerol.
Arachidonylglycerols are known to be involved in regulating appetite, and the research published in 2013 showed that a diet rich in arachidonic acid could help reduce food intake and weight.
“I think that’s really exciting, because there’s been a lot more research in recent years on the potential benefits of dietary supplements to weight loss and weight control,” said Jodi Gagnon, a professor of nutrition and exercise science at Washington State University and the author of “The Art of Eating Well: How to Eat Better and Lose More.”
“The research that we’re finding suggests that bioactives that have been shown to be effective in weight loss can also be used to treat obesity.”
Bioactives, in particular, are known as non-essential amino acids, which means they can be easily digested by our body.
That means they may have a wide range of health benefits, from reducing inflammation to promoting energy metabolism.
“If you’re a regular exerciser, you might be thinking that maybe you’re just not that active.
And you’re right.
And if you’re someone who’s exercising, that could be one of the reasons why you’re not getting enough exercise,” Gagnons said.
The research also found that bioactivators could be beneficial in the treatment of certain conditions.
“It’s kind of hard to say whether these bioactive supplements are going to be beneficial for everybody,” said Dr. Michael Pappas, an associate professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine.
“I think they’ll work for a few people and not be beneficial to everyone.
But the evidence is quite clear that there are people who may benefit from taking bioactive molecules.”
For example:If you have a condition called polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), the body makes estrogen to regulate the size of your ovaries.
If you take a bioactive drug called daidzein, it may help your body to produce more estrogen to balance the size.
If you’ve been suffering from anorexia nervosa, you may need to take a drug called rosiglitazone to regulate weight loss.
A bioactive product called cimetidine is also being studied to treat certain forms of obesity.
But most of these studies have focused on bioactors, and there’s no indication that they would be effective.
“The biggest problem is that it’s difficult to get these drugs to be able to be administered in large enough quantities to be useful in a population,” said Papples.
The researchers are hoping to develop more bioactive products, and are also looking into developing more clinical trials to test the effectiveness of the products in people.
